BOB Kuchenmeister has joined a rare group of reinsmen who have driven winners at the three metropolitan tracks in Victoria.

The octogenarian horseman completed the feat when he steered Leanne Leeann to victory in the Nutrien Trot at Tabcorp Park on Tuesday night.

Kuchenmeister has now visited the winners stall in the sulky at the Showgrounds, Moonee Valley and now Melton.

However, Kuchenmeister believes his feat will only prove newsworthy when he wins a metropolitan class race.

“It’s got to be a metropolitan win,” he said.

“When I win a metro race it will mean I have won a metropolitan win at all three tracks.”
